The hotel seemed a bit over priced compared to the fact that we were one of two vehicles in the parking lot. Understandably, however, I understand why that wouldn't necessarily affect the price, but I was visiting the area due to a death in my family so it was more of a negative experience due to that. Overall the hotel was functional and met my needs.
Stayed for one night to attend Graduation Parties in Shell Lake, was the only place available during memorial weekend. Paid $99.00 bucks for a one bedroom king size room. Thought it was a little high but with it being last minute booking wasn't an issue. We checked in the bed was uncomfortable could tell it was an older mattress the sink drained leaked when we ran water so I placed a bucket under it due to time....the free "Continental" breakfast consisted of Swiss cakes rolls, hard boiled eggs, fruit loops, oatmeal pks, and bagels....the male owner wasn't friendly, the lady owner was much nicer didn't care for the inscent smell the morning of check out....it served it purposed as a room with a bed that's it... overpriced. Will not be going back unless it is an emergency
For the price ($69 when I stayed), they do a fine job. Owners are very friendly and do most of the work themselves. Divos and divas, pay for something nicer. If you need a clean place to stay with basic amenities and an indoor pool, this is the best value in Cumberland.
